If You Want to Create Change in Your Life; Read This.
If you think 60 - 70 000 thoughts a day, which we do, and 90% of those thoughts are the same as the day before, the week before that, the month before that... your life isn’t going to change very much.
Every thought we experience creates a chemical reaction in the brain, which then triggers an emotion. As we engage with this thought, it creates a new circuit that sends a signal to the body that makes us react a certain way. The more we repeat and engage with this thought, producing the same reaction (emotion) and performing the same action, the more this process gets ingrained into our mind, forming a pattern, a blueprint in our subconscious mind.
As you know, your subconscious mind runs 95% of your thoughts, emotions, habits, behaviors, and beliefs about you + your world!
This means that if we’re not aware of our thought patterns, and continue to feed our subconscious mind the same information multiple times (the subconscious mind learns through repetition!), we will continue to be the same, do the same, and get more of our current experiences.
So how do we create change then?
You reprogram yourself.
You become consciously aware of the unconscious process of the driver that is shaping your life right now, the one behind why you do what you do, and decide to create new patterns of thinking!
When you feel a strong emotion, become aware of it and be curious:
- Why am I feeling this way?
- What’s going on in my mind right now?
This could help you understand why you feel the way you do and lead you back to the root cause of that emotion; the thoughts you first gave your attention to.
The more aware you become of how what you think affects your life, the less unaware you are going to be during your day, and that is what starts the process of change.
